Machampane

It is a little difficult to describe Machampane. Its beauty, location and natural surroundings make it one of our chosen mozambique accommodation venues. The Machampane Wilderness Trail is a must to experience the Transfrontier Park between The Kruger National Park and Mozambique.

This a little about what we experienced on a recent visit to Machampane Camp:

Yes we saw Elephant, and yes we saw baboons, steen buck, impala and frogs. We heard leopard and lion at night, we smelt the flowers and we tasted the wildernss of that area. However, we choose to show you the insects that make a wilderness safari extra special!

butterfly It is not always about the big things, sure enough knowing you are in an unfenced wilderness area, just west of the Kruger National Park make for an exciting trail, as you never know what creature will venture past your drinks stop or block the path!

We found the numerous insects colourful and intriguing,a bit pesty at dinner, but the frogs feasted on them and the sounds of too many frogs to count made us realise how life here shows a balance! Seeing these insects was a good indication of the healthy eco-system there and it was encouraging to be a witness to this natural wonder!
